Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Where can
I do personal training?
A:
Personal training can be done in the privacy of your own home,
outside (weather permitting), or at
North Shore Elite Fitness
in Glendale.
Q:
I am interested in personal training at my home but I don't have
a lot of equipment, is that ok?
A:
Yes, I can provide you with a few basic pieces of equipment that
will give you a great workout. We will use bands, medicine
balls, dumbbells, stability balls, and exercise steps. You
will be surprised at how many exercises can be done with very
little equipment.
Q: How many personal training sessions do you recommend your
clients do each week?
A:
In my experience, people who train 3 times per week achieve the
greatest results. However, 1-2 times per week can be
sufficient for people that are committed to doing some workouts
on their own.
Q: Do I have to tell you my weight?
A:
Taking your weight is not a requirement. However, I do
offer the testing of weight, body fat, blood pressure, resting
heart rate, VO2 max, flexibility, and strength. We can use
these tests to measure your results if you desire.
Q: I would love to do personal training but I don't think
I can afford it, what are my options?
A:
If finances are an issue, I would suggest finding a partner with
similar goals and a similar fitness level. Personal
training rates are significantly lower when training in groups
of two or three. Also, I often run group programs at North
Shore Elite. Please call or e-mail me to find out the
latest news on these programs.
Q: How do I make payments for personal training?
A:
You may pay with cash or check for in home training. We
will set up a payment schedule so you don't have to write out a
check each session. North Shore Elite members will have an
electronic account at the club.
